Haluk Özdalga

Haluk Özdalga worked for many years for the DSP and CHP, serving in various positions from district organization manager to deputy chairman. In May 2007, he joined the AKP together with a group of social democratic politicians. He served as a member of parliament for Ankara between 2007 and 2015. He resigned from AKP in December 2013. He served as the chairman of the Environment Commission and deputy chairman of the Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. He is the author of books on various topics such as European social democracy, Turkey's mismanagement of the current political party system and international relations. She is currently working on a book on the causes of Jihadist Salafism.
