Yaman Akdeniz

Yaman Akdeniz is a professor of law at Istanbul Bilgi University and one of the founders of İFÖD, the Freedom of Expression Association. He has been working in the field of freedom of expression, freedom of information, and internet freedom since the mid-1990s. He was awarded the Columbia Global Freedom of Expression Award in 2016 and the Embassy of Canada Annual Human Rights Award in 2022 in relation to his work on internet freedom.
